Pyle Birthplace Home
In an effort to save the deteriorating Historic Birthplace Home of Ernie Pyle, the Friends of Ernie Pyle, caretakers of the structure, commissioned an Exterior Needs Assessment and Preservation Plan in 2020. With this plan they applied for and were awarded a Historic Renovation Grant from OCRA. The 1850's Two Story Vernacular I-House, which is part of the Ernie Pyle WWII Museum in Dana, Indiana, required much needed repairs to its structure, siding and trim on the home due to water infiltration. The repairs were completed in 2022.
